Nitrile Rubber Insulation is a very versatile and flexible insulation. It is widely used the Industrial insulation, air-conditioning, plumbing and Hvac industries. It is a closed cell elastomeric insulation and is resistant to water vapour, oil and most acids.


Nitrile Flexible Elastomeric Rubber Insulation Rolls and Sheets
 are closed cell  foam structures with a non-porous composition that offers high thermal efficiency and protection from imminent condensation problems and helps as in sound absorption. Depending on the requirements of the market, this product can be coated with different types of foils and have a factory-applied self-adhesive backing. The installation time is reduced by more than 40% due to the ease in cutting as well as quick adhesion of the material.


Nitrile Rubber Rolls and Sheets come in handy where Nitrile Tubes cannot be used on pipes with big diameter. Other applications include ventilation ducts, tanks, reservoirs and engine rooms as it provides sound and thermal protection. Not only are they environmentally friendly, but they also don’t pose any harm to human health as it has zero Ozone Depletion Potential (ODP), Global Warming Potential (GWP) of less than five and a low Volatile Organic Compound (VOC) of less than 6 µg/m2/hr in 24 hours.  Nitrile Rubber Rolls and Sheets also comply with LEED requirements.

LRB Rockwool Mattress Heat Insulation are flexible rock fiber mattresses, stitched with wire mesh and manufactured from stable rock fibers bonded with a minimum quantity of thermosetting resin binder. ROCKWOOL LRB Mattresses are light weight, strong, resilient, easy to handle and cut to suit intricate shapes.

Facing Types

LRB Rockwool Mattresses are available with a galvanized steel or stainless steel hexagonal wire netting (mesh) on one or two sides.

 

Fire Safety Performance

LRB Rockwool Mattresses are non-combustible when tested in accordance with IS 3144, BS 476 (part 4), ISO 1182 and ASTM E136 and have the following fire safety rating achievements:

  • Class I surface spread of flame in accordance to BS 476 (part 7)

We offer a wide range of Thermal And Acoustic Insulation, which can be customized as per the client's specifications. These are technically advanced to use in the noise control industry. Acoustic Insul is preferred for this application due to its following properties –
  • Resistance to vibration and jolting

Recommended Products –Insul boards having density of 32 kg/m3 / 48 kg/m3 (50mm thick Black Glass Tissue faced) with thickness of 50 mm with NRC value of 0.96 and 1.21 respectively can be used for better sound absorption.

Option I
  • Clean the surfaces wherein insulation to be applied.
  • Apply a coat of cold setting adhesive CPRX compound or hot blown bitumen 85-25 grade and fix wooden battens or GI or Aluminium channels of height equal to the thickness of insulation to be used, 50mm for AHU and 100mm for D.G. Set rooms.
  • Frame work to be spaced at 600 x 600mm C/C for the walls and ceiling.
  • Twiga Fiberglass in specified density and thickness is placed in position within the framework and covered with white or black non woven Fiberglass Tissue (FGT).24G perforated aluminium sheet with approx. 20-25% perforations is placed in position over the insulation and FGT with help of self tapping screws onto the framework.
  • Plain aluminium beading 25mm wide, 3mm thick is then placed at the joints of the perforated sheets and secured to the frame work by means of self tapping screws.
  • Acoustic lining of walls shall be terminated 150mm above the finished floor to prevent damage to insulation due to accidental water logging in plant or AHU rooms.

Note-Wherever wooden battens are used these shall be adequately treated against termite attack and painted with fire resistant paint. All metallic frames shall be treated with rust resistant primes.

Option II
  • Fix 50 x 50 x 150mm wooden pegs at interval of 1m x 0.6m x 0.6m with the help of screws.
  • Fix chicken wire mesh 12.5mm x 22 G of hexagonal construction over the pegs in order to create an air space of 50mm with the wall.
  • Fabricate and fix 0.63mm thick ‘Z’ type GI channels at intervals of 1m x0.6m C/C.
  • Fix Twiga Insul of required density and thickness over the pegs to the channel.
  • Spread a layer of Black non woven Fiberglass Tissue.
  • Fix aluminium or GI perforated sheet having at least 20-25% perforations with brass screws.
  • Fix aluminium beading 25mm x 3mm thick over joints with self tapping screws for the walls and roof area.

Note : All metallic frames shall be treated with rust resistant primes.

Acoustic Performance- Rockwool Slab Insulation achieve excellent acoustic performances (sound absorption coefficients, sound insulation, and impact sound isolation) when tested in accordance to various relevant ASTM standards. RB Slabs achieve Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) values up to 1, when tested in accordance to ASTM C423.

Unfaced ROCKWOOL  RB Slabs are non-combustible when tested in accordance with IS 3144, BS 476 (part 4), ISO 1182 and ASTM E136 and are classified as Class A1, in accordance with European norms. Unfaced, FSK and ALG-faced RB Slabs have the following fire safety rating achievements:
